Well, it’s day three of being sick with strep. Today’s the first day that I’ve actually felt well enough to go out for a morning walk and to work in the garden. I made sure that I applied a strong sun block before venturing out and I also made sure to keep a hat on to keep the sun’s rays off my face – the Sun is the number one enemy of youthful skin.
When I was younger I spent way too many hours in the Sun (without protection) and if that wasn’t bad enough I was also a slave to the tanning bed. Fortunately for me I wised up fast and realized that my unprotected Sun exposure could lead to really bad wrinkly skin a la Brigitte Bardot. Once I had that aha moment I began to use sunscreen religiously and I sought out professional skin care help to reverse the sun damage. I am fortunate in that at close to fourty I only have a few fine lines – which do drive me crazy when combined with the hormonal acne flare-ups I am plaqued with.
