Eyelash Transplants

I’m traveling again and I’m sitting in my hotel room working on a rather bland project :( and turned on the TV to stave off boredom. So glad I did because I just learned about an amazing new cosmetic/plastic surgery trend here in South Florida! Eyelash transplants.

I kid you not. Basically, the doctor takes scalp hair, does something to the hair and transplants the hair in the eye lash area. Supposedly, the eyelash transplantation is permanent.

I can definitely see this as an option for those who have permanently lost their eyelashes due to medical procedures like chemotherapy, and other illnesses that cause hair loss. I wonder how many of us will seek it out just because we want thicker, longer, sexier eyelashes?

So if you have really sparse lashes this may be an option. It takes about eight weeks to see a difference and then your lashes may need to be styled but WOW! I wonder what this will do for the mascara business?

It costs $3000 per eye – OUCH!!! but it’s permanent so is it worth it? MD Lash Factor runs $140 to $175 per month – it’s a non-permanent solution and definitely less expensive but still not as cheap as my favorite mascara – Maybelline. But I do have long, curved lashes, so it may be worth it if you aren’t happy with your eyelashes for whatever reason.

Bauman Medical Group is the firm that makes lashes luscious and it’s located in Boca Raton for those interested.

I can buy two new boobs for the price of two new eyelash transplants, heh. I think I would go with bigger boobs and buy stick on falsies for my eyes.
