Dr. Wexler Universal Anti-Aging Cleanser with MMPi

Dr. Wexler’s Universal Anti-Aging Cleanser with MMPi promised that it would remove make-up easily and wouldn’t dry out my skin. Unlike other cleansers this one had ingredients that inhibited MMP’s – which in laymens terms are the bad things that cause skin to breakdown and age and trust me as a woman who has to deal with blemishes and aging skin that little bit of information got my attention! I purchased the Dr. Wexler cleanser at Bath & Body Works – I don’t believe it is sold anywhere else. It was moderately priced about $18.00 for a 3.4 Oz tube.

I was really excited about using this product and I have to say it delivered. The Dr. Wexler Universal Anti-aging Cleanser was very creamy, not soapy at all and it rinsed off quite well. The make-up came off effortlessly however I didn’t try it on my eye make-up even though the instructions said it was safe to do so. My skin felt soft and supple and not a bit overly dry or tight. I did notice that after repeated use my skin also wasn’t so red or hyper-sensitive like it was when using other cleansers. I wonder if it has anything to do with the MMPi in the product? Since I do use Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acids, Glycolic Acids and Retinol products to deal with the hormonal acne breakouts having a cleanser that is gentle is key and this cleanser really is gentle and I believe that it does encourage healing.
