Earth day will take place on April 22nd, 2008 and we’re ready to do our part to make the planet a little bit more healthy and beautiful; all while making ourselves look and feel absolutely radiant and beautiful.
Eco-centric beauty has made some serious advancements since the days of our youth, when we would sit on the floor and apply some beauty concoction mixed-up by our best friend’s hippie mother. Ah, the memories of stinky, thick beauty masks made from whatever ingredients she found in the pantry and refrigerator.
Thankfully, organic beauty products have come a LONG way since those days. Today, we have simply terrific natural products such as:
- Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Trio ($85)
- Zia Natural Skincare Papaya Mask ($25)
- ecoTools (yeah, not skin care but we really love these eco-conscience make-up brushes)
- International Orange RESTORE 8oz Shampoo ($38) and NOURISH 8oz Conditioner ($42)
- Pangea Organics Egyptian Geranium with Adzuki Bean & Cranberry Facial Scrub ($32)
- Burts Bee Coconut Foot Cream
- Dr.Hauschka Lip Care Stick ($12.95)
Each of these beauty products will be covered in-depth during Earth Day Week ( We’re making a week of it ! ). You can expect a review a day, one a day for seven days

I am amazed with how much the technology of today has expanded our ability to enhance ourselves and the products we use to maintain healthy bodies. The ongoing research has advanced the study of skin care by leaps and bounds!

I totally agree with the Dr. Hauschka lip balm. In fact, their organic lipsticks (and their whole line of organic makeup) are simply fantastic and pure. I use them all the time.

Would love to try all of these. I’m already using some Dr. Hauschka makeup and skin creams and totally love them. Plus the peace of mind – worth the extra cost.
There some really caring beauty product makers out there. But you have to read the labels, even on the things that say “organic.” Then you can select the really pure ones without any questionable chemicals added. It seems that the organic skincare is less regulated than organic foods…
