As an adult woman with acne your skin care concerns are dramatically different than that of a teenager. Adult acne coupled with aging skin means that women need to find specific treatments that will address the acne condition without damaging or adding more wrinkles to their skin. Adult-onset acne should not be treated in the same generic fashion as teen pimples and acne. Teens don’t have to worry about their skin aging and believe me the teen solution of a strong dose of Clearasil or Oxy 10 is the last thing maturing skin needs. The reason for that is:
As we age, our skin becomes less able to repair itself due to a loss of collagen. The skin of adults is not as resilient as that of younger people. So adult acne can be a much more serious problem because it can cause easily cause scarring in adult skin. It is a good idea to treat breakouts and not give in to the temptation to squeeze or pop whiteheads or blackheads that appear on the skin. Doing this type of thing can lead to permanent scarring of the skin. (from Acne Product Review)
In the coming days and weeks, I will be adding specific resources, educational information and product reviews all of which address the troublesome and frustrating topic of dealing with aging skin and acne.

Collagen- the wonder material
Collagen is a protein. It is mainly found in the dermis, the layer below epidermis (top layer) of the skin. this collagen in the dermis supports the epidermis. Without the support of collagen the epidermis would collapse on the muscles and bones. The collagen gives us the plump and young look. Collagen forms the structure on which the epidermis rests. You can think of pillars in a building that support the roof. Collagen does similarly to support the epidermis

Never use a soap that dries out your skin, this will only make wrinkles and acne worse. Find a soap with acne in mind.
thanks for the post!

Keep in mind that as we age, we also develop new and often larger and more dangerous moles, warts and skin tags. The moles bear watching closely. The warts and skin tags are totally unnecessary because there are dozens of techniques to remove them without actually having to go to the doctor. The physician will, most likely, want to cut them out or freeze them and those medical methods are not comfortable or necessary. Remember, in order to get rid of a wart, you have to kill the virus that is causing it and those over-the-counter solutions you get from the drug store don’t always do that. There are various methods available now that can help you get rid of warts, skin tags and yes, even moles (if they are not complicated ones) in the privacy of your own home.
